| Blogs are new to me, but I thought it might be fun to share a little. This past month has been extremely busy & a bit exhausting, as I pushed to revise and polish my entire manuscript that I had considered complete. However, the Lord had other ideas, as I received a rejection from a major publishing house, as the two main characters weren't sympathetic enough.
Back to the drawing board...or keyboard, I should say. Deeper, more clear motivations for the actions of my main characters had to be developed, and an entirely new character woven into the story line. A month & many, many hours later, it was complete. That was two weeks ago, and it's now in the hands of 9 different publishing houses. My agent & I are hoping for feedback in the form of a contract offer, or of course, another rejection, by Thanksgiving if all goes well. God is in charge & I'm leaving it in His capable hands, as I move forward into the sequel. After all, stepping out in faith says I need to keep writing as though I have a contract pending & the second book will be wanted! Hope you all have a wondeful day & are blessed mightily!
