| It's been an extremely long time since I added to this blog. I doubt anyone really looks at this much anyway, but here I go.
A lot has happened since my last entry. I've bought a house, had family over for holidays, had parties and did a lot of work to keep the house looking good and working. I had changed jobs and years later, got let go due to the economy going to the toilet. I've found a new job, but the commute is way too long for me. I'm currently in the running for a job closer to home, but it's still hard to say if I've got a good chance at it or not. I got a newer car that gets better MPG for my long commute. I love it. So, overall, things could be worse, but they aren't too bad. SWEF, the online gaming that I am in charge of, is still trudging along smoothly. The player base hasn't changed a whole lot. We have some really loyal players and it's more like a family than anything. The games are loads of fun too. I run an exploration/Jedi game, while Ron runs two other games that are doing very well. One of his is sort of like a western set in an alternate world. Almost a mix of western and Lord of the Rings. His other one is loosely based on a previous game he ran about teenagers kidnapped and taken out into the galaxy away from Earth. This new version has a twist of different dimensions added to the mix. Both games are pretty darn fun to play. There is a lot more than can be said and in more detail, but this is it for now.

| The title might sound like a war story coming to an end, but it's not.
I had an experience last week that most don't have. A mixture of anger, sadness, joy, and excitement. Yeah, I know that doesn't tell much, but just hold on. I was asked to take my nephew to a Boy Scout camp, since his mother and father couldn't get vacation time. I agreed to it, since it would be a break for me and sounded like fun. On the way to his house, I stopped to gas up the car. Everything was going smoothly, as I had hoped. However, when I pulled out of the the gas station, a car I didn't see hit me. I saw the car and the woman driving it just before impact, and I knew I was not going to have a good day after that. After an hour or more of waiting with the police to fill out the report, I was underway again. Unhappy and upset that my car was damaged, I thought about just turning around and going home. But I was less than an hour away, and I had already driven two and a half hours to get that far. I decided to continue on and not make the accident the focus of the week. It was hard not to think about it at that time, but I kept going. The next day, I gathered my things up and we were off to the camp. Lucky for me, the group was car-pooling, so I didn't have to drive my car and be reminded of the accident. Once at camp, the thought of the car went away and I started to have fun again. The week went by pretty fast. I was exhausted and whipped from having to do all that the young boys had to do. It's too bad that I am out of shape and don't have the energy those boys have. But even they were exhausted by the end of the day. Sunburn, blisters, mosquito dive-bombers, and unusually cold evenings for a July made me happy that the time at camp was over. I had fun with the boys and the staff of the camp. I figure that it was a great experience for me. Now I'm home, with some great memories of camp, and I'm dealing with getting my car fixed so that is out of the way as well. Soon my life will be back to normal... or will it? Who knows what evil lurks around the corner to disrupt a peaceful life?

| I think I have most of the work done. I still need to work on graphics and other minor items, but for the most part, my work is nearly complete.
Now to get people to register and post. Players will do so when they visit, I'm sure. Or at least when they decide to post.
